I’m really excited to share my latest project with you!  Over the past few weeks, I’ve begun recording an EP.  This will be my first official release, and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am.  I’m really proud of all of the songs, and I think it’s going to be amazing.  A-MAY-ZINNG.  Anyway, I thought I would put up a few posts on the progress.

I’ve got a couple of friends producing for me on the record—Josh Gagliardi and Pete Buchwald.  I’m really excited to have both of them working on the project.  They’ve got some good ears and ideas lend to the songs.

Two weeks ago, we went down to a studio in Denver to record drums.  The studio, 8 Houses Down, has a fantastic sounding drum room.  I also had Fort Collins drummer, Ikaika Pekelo, playing on the tracks.  He’s an outstanding drummer and an even better friend.

Here are a few pictures from the day:

Hello everybody!  I hope you are enjoying and making the most the new year—I know I am.  Today I’m diverting from the usual song writing posts to share something different with you.

I was recently commissioned to write and record “on hold” music for a law firm.  It was  a great experience for me, both as a writer and a producer.  I was very pleased with how it came out.  Have a listen:

The people at Brent Gordon Law are stand up folks.  I should know, they are my cousins.  I always looked up to Brent and his brother Mike when I was younger, even though I was jealous of their massive Transformers collection.  So, if you are in Idaho or Utah and need some help, give them a call.  You might just hear something familiar.

Plus, they have the cutest famous football player you’ve ever seen.

Here is an example of a bumper I created for a podcast as well.

So, why am I sharing this with you?  I want to make my services available to you and your company.  If you need audio for something—whether it is hold music, a podcast, or just about anything you can think of—I can make that happen for you.  I just began the process of recording an album, and any extra projects would go a long way towards making that happen.  Interested? Let’s talk.  You can contact me below.

It has been a while since my last post.  I’m sure you have been checking your feeds expectantly everyday. . . right?  So sorry to keep you waiting.  I’ve got a few more songs in the works — one of them is entirely written and only needs to be recorded.  So in the mean time, I wanted to share another project that I have been working on.  Aside from writing, I do a little bit of producing and recording as well.  Recently I had my friends Dan and Yoshi in the studio to lay down a couple tunes.  It has been a really fun and educational process for me.  Here are a couple of the tracks that resulted; have a listen…

Nobody Knows You by AdamLockwood
I was greatly privileged to work with Dan and Yoshi not only because they are brilliant musicians, but also because they are wonderful people.  It’s fabulous to see this great couple creating beautiful music together.

I would also like to take a moment to thank and acknowledge a few others who made this project possible.  My young and talented engineer friend, Chris Foster, who mastered all of the tracks on the project.  Also thanks to my wife, Cari, and my little girl for barricading themselves upstairs every Monday for the sake of the music. :)

If you like what you heard, rejoice!  Dan and Yoshi will be joining me on one of my songs very soon.  And if you really like what you heard, they are available for parties, or you can catch them at a venue near you!
